About the 4-inch Flex-Tube PV
The 4-inch is the Flex-Tube PV most workshops buy: it is the size that fits standard 4-inch dust collection ports — the common port on woodworking machines, single-stage dust collectors, and CNC hoods. It is a medium-weight clear PVC hose: you can see material moving through it and catch a blockage before it becomes a problem. A rigid external helix acts as a wearstrip, and the ultra-smooth interior wall keeps airflow efficient.

- Light, dry material — sawdust, leaves, dry particulate — between 20°F and 160°F
For heavier or abrasive material — grain, wood chips, bark — or for cold-weather flexibility below 20°F, the polyurethane Flex-Tube PU is the better fit (rated to -40°F). The PV is the economical choice for lighter, dry material at moderate temperatures.
