About the 3-inch Flex-Tube PV
The 3-inch is the largest of the small-bore Flex-Tube PV sizes — still sold by the roll, and the step below the 4-inch dust-port size. It is the diameter for a long vacuum or ventilation run, or a small dust collection branch, where a 4-inch hose is more than the port needs. Clear co-extruded PVC wall so you can see the flow, a rigid external helix that takes the wear, ultra-smooth interior, and a .030-inch wall.
Stocked in 50 and 100 ft lengths. Each price is for one hose of that length.
Where you'll see the 3-inch PV
- Industrial and shop vacuum cleaning lines; small dust collection branch runs
- Air handling and fume ventilation
- Light, dry material — dust, sawdust, dry particulate — at 20°F to 160°F
For heavier or abrasive material — grain, wood chips, bark — or for cold-weather flexibility below 20°F, the polyurethane Flex-Tube PU is the better fit (rated to -40°F). The PV is the economical choice for lighter, dry material at moderate temperatures.
