Lightweight Static Dissipative Polyurethane Hose for Dust Collection and Fume Extraction
The Flx-Thane SDX-20 is a lightweight, static dissipative clear polyurethane hose reinforced with a bronze-coated spring steel wire helix. With a .020" wall (.015" at 2" ID), it stays flexible and easy to route while handling a wider range of vacuum work than the lightest hoses. The clear wall gives you full visibility of material flow — spot blockages before they become a problem. Available in 2" to 18" ID in 25 ft and 50 ft lengths (14" and larger in 25 ft only).
The static dissipative wall helps bleed off static charge as material moves through the hose, and the self-extinguishing construction is listed as UL 94V-2 flame retardant. The polyurethane delivers great abrasion resistance and superior chemical resistance. It is halogen-free and manufactured with FDA acceptable materials, and the operating temperature range of -65°F to 200°F covers cold startups and warm exhaust.
Where the SDX-20 Fits
This hose covers a wide range of dust and fume work where static buildup is a concern — wood dust collection, cyclone dust separators, hull sanding, insulation blowing and removal, paint spray extraction, printing, sheet metal work, textile fiber collection, oil mist extraction, ultra violet dryer exhaust, aluminum refractory, and food grade applications. Smaller diameters handle a full 29 in. Hg vacuum. For a lighter, more compressible hose, see the Flx-Thane SDX-15. If you need to move abrasive materials or want higher tear strength, the Flx-Thane SDX-30 is better suited to that work.
