Very Lightweight Static Dissipative Polyurethane Hose for Dust Collection and Air Handling
The Flx-Thane SDX-15 is a very lightweight, static dissipative clear polyurethane hose reinforced with a bronze-coated spring steel wire helix. Its thin .015" wall and great compressibility make it easy to maneuver in tight workshop layouts, overhead duct runs, and portable dust collection setups. The clear wall gives you full visibility of material flow — spot blockages before they become a problem. Available in 2" to 12" ID in 25 ft lengths.
The static dissipative wall helps bleed off static charge as dust moves through the hose, and the self-extinguishing construction is listed as UL 94V-2 flame retardant. The polyurethane delivers abrasion and chemical resistance that PVC can’t match, even at this lighter weight class. It is halogen-free and manufactured with FDA acceptable materials, and the operating temperature range of -65°F to 200°F handles cold-shop startups and warm exhaust.
Where the SDX-15 Fits
This hose is built for environments where airborne dust, fumes, and fine particulate need to move efficiently and static buildup is a concern — woodworking and furniture dust collection, oil mist extraction, static control, and food grade air handling. It’s not designed for heavy material transfer, and vacuum ratings drop as the diameter increases. For higher vacuum ratings and sizes up to 18", step up to the Flx-Thane SDX-20. For abrasive material handling, the Flx-Thane SDX-30 is better suited to that work.
