Flame-Retardant Heavy-Weight PVC Hose
The PV R-3 Blue is the flame-retardant version of our heaviest PVC hose, listed as UL 94V-0 for ventilation and material handling in environments with ignition concerns. Same coated spring steel wire helix and .035"–.045" heavy-weight wall as the R-3 Clear, with the added safety of flame-retardant material. Available in 2.5"–6" standard IDs up to 12" maximum in 25' or 50' lengths.
Where the R-3 Blue Fits
The UL 94V-0 listing makes this the right choice for FDA powder transport where flame retardancy is required, dust and fume removal in manufacturing and metal processing, construction site ventilation with ignition sources present, shipyard and welding-adjacent air handling, and aluminum refractory air movement. The heavy-weight wall also handles abrasive material streams that would wear through lighter hoses.
Compared to the R-3 Clear
The R-3 Blue is the flame-retardant variant of the PV R-3 Clear, which uses FDA-acceptable materials instead. If flame retardancy is not required, the Clear version is the right choice. For lighter-weight alternatives, step down to the medium-weight PV R-4 Clear or lightweight PV R-2 Clear.
The Flexadux PV R-3 is a heavy weight PVC hose that has been reinforced with a coated spring steel wire helix. It is available with an ID of 2.5", 3", 4", 5", 6", and lengths of 25' or 50' in order to provide you with a custom fit for your application.
