Lightweight Flame-Retardant PVC Hose
The PV R-2 Blue is the flame-retardant version of our lightest PVC hose, listed as UL 94V-0 for ventilation, dust removal, and material handling in environments where ignition sources are a concern. Reinforced with a spring steel wire helix and built with a .020" wall for maximum flexibility and tight bend characteristics. Available in 2" standard IDs up to 18" maximum in 25' or 50' lengths.
Where the R-2 Blue Fits
The UL 94V-0 listing makes this the right choice for a wide range of flame-retardant-required applications. Common uses include FDA powder transport where flame retardancy is needed, fume ventilation in welding, printing, and chemical fume extraction, air duct and furnace cleaning, aerospace and automotive ventilation, manufacturing and metal processing, paper and textile production, and specialty applications like pipe organs and flight simulators where both flexibility and ignition safety matter.
Compared to the R-2 Clear
The R-2 Blue is the flame-retardant variant of the PV R-2 Clear, which uses FDA-acceptable materials instead. If flame retardancy is not required and FDA compliance is, choose the Clear version. For heavier-duty alternatives, step up to the medium-weight PV R-4 Clear or the heavy-weight PV R-3 Clear / PV R-3 Blue.
The Flexadux PV R-2 Blue Hose is a light weight PVC hose that has been reinforced with a spring steel wire helix. It has great flexibility, and is an excellent choice for ventilation applications, and dust and fume removal. It is available with an ID of 6", 8", 10", 12", and comes in a 25' length in order to provide you with a custom fit for your application.
