Lightweight Polyurethane Hose for Dust Collection and Air Handling
The Flx-Thane XLD Clear is a very lightweight polyurethane hose reinforced with a bronze-coated spring steel wire helix. Where standard-weight hoses add bulk and drag, the XLD’s lighter construction makes it easier to maneuver in tight workshop layouts, overhead duct runs, and portable dust collection setups. The clear wall gives you full visibility of material flow — spot blockages before they become a problem.
The polyurethane construction delivers abrasion resistance that PVC can’t match, even at this lighter weight class. The bronze-coated helix resists corrosion in humid shop environments, and the smooth interior wall minimizes friction loss for efficient airflow. Operating temperature range of -40°F to 200°F handles cold-shop startups and warm exhaust without degradation.
Where the XLD Clear Fits
This hose is built for environments where airborne particulate needs to move efficiently — woodworking dust collection, CNC machine extraction, oil mist removal, fume ventilation, and metal fabrication air handling. It’s not designed for heavy material transfer or landscape debris. If you need to move heavier materials like wood chips, grain, or bark, the Flex-Tube PU or Flx-Thane HD are better suited to that work.
