Self-Extinguishing Medium-Weight Polyurethane Hose with UL 94V-2 Flame Retardancy
The Flx-Thane SE Clear is a self-extinguishing medium-weight clear polyurethane hose reinforced with a bronze-coated spring steel wire helix. It is listed as UL 94V-2 flame retardant and halogen-free — making it the flame-retardant option in the Flx-Thane polyurethane line. Wall thickness is .030" with strong abrasion resistance, high tear strength, and good low-temperature flexibility. Available up to 12" ID.
Where the Flx-Thane SE Clear Fits
This hose is the right choice for dust collection, welding fume extraction, shipyard air handling, bulk material transfer, manufacturing, and metal processing applications where flame retardancy is required. The halogen-free construction makes it suitable for environments where halogenated materials are restricted.
Compared to the Rest of the Flx-Thane Line
The SE Clear is the only flame-retardant Flx-Thane. If flame retardancy is not required and you need the same .030" wall with static dissipation instead, the Flx-Thane SD Clear is the ESD option at the same weight class. For general-purpose medium-weight use without flame retardancy or ESD, the Flx-Thane MD Clear is the standard option.
