Light-Weight Static Dissipative Polyurethane Hose for Dust Collection
The Flx-Thane LD-SD is a light-weight clear static dissipative polyurethane hose reinforced with a bronze-coated spring steel wire helix. It delivers permanent, non-humidity dependent ESD protection (surface resistivity 108–1010 Ohms/Square) — the static dissipation is built into the wall material and works in any environment. Manufactured with FDA acceptable materials. Wall thickness is .015" at 2" ID (.020" at 2.5" and above), with a standard max of 8" ID.
Where the Flx-Thane LD-SD Fits
This hose is ideal for light-duty woodworking dust collection where static buildup is a concern, FDA powder transport, food grade material handling, and general air handling and fume ventilation in static-sensitive environments. The light wall keeps it flexible and compressible for workshop installations.
Compared to Other Static Dissipative Options
The LD-SD is the light-duty static dissipative option. For a heavier-wall ESD hose with full FDA 21 CFR compliance, step up to the Flx-Thane SD Clear (medium weight, .030" wall).
