Ultra-Light Polyethylene Hose for Lightweight Vacuum Applications
The Flex-Tube PE is a UV-stabilized black polyethylene copolymer hose with a rigid external polyethylene helix that doubles as a wearstrip. At .012" wall thickness, it is one of the lightest hoses in our lineup — built for lightweight vacuum applications where minimizing hose weight matters more than heavy-wall durability. The smooth interior wall delivers efficient airflow with minimal friction loss. The external helix protects the hose wall during drag-along use.
Where the Flex-Tube PE Fits
This hose is well-suited for industrial vacuum cleaning, textile fiber collection, paper and textile process air, fume ventilation, and general lightweight air handling. The polyethylene construction and UV stabilization make it a good fit for indoor or outdoor use.
Sizing & Install Best Practices
Match inside diameter to your vacuum system or air handler inlet. The .012" wall makes this hose very light but also thinner than polyurethane alternatives — avoid applications with heavy abrasive material or sharp debris that could puncture the wall. For heavier-duty vacuum and dust collection, the Flex-Tube PV or Flex-Tube PU offer thicker polyurethane construction.
