Nomex-Reinforced High-Temperature Hose for Constant Flexing
The Heat-Flex NS is a silicone-coated fiberglass hose reinforced with Nomex® for high-temperature applications that involve constant flexing or movement. The Nomex reinforcement gives the hose the flex life that straight fiberglass cannot deliver, while the silicone coating seals the surface against moisture, chemicals, and dust. This is the Heat-Flex built for applications where the hose is moved, bent, or routed through dynamic equipment rather than fixed in place.
Where the Heat-Flex NS Fits
This hose is the right choice for aerospace ground support and rocket support air handling, high-temperature fume extraction, glass drying and glass manufacturing air movement, heater and defroster routing in equipment cabs, transmission cooling on motorsports and heavy equipment, and vehicle exhaust systems where the hose sees repeated flexing. It also fits hot/cold air transfer and automotive ventilation applications that run near the upper edge of what standard thermoplastic hose can handle.
Compared to the Rest of the Heat-Flex Line
The NS is the flex-life specialist. If the hose will be fixed in place with flame retardancy as the main concern, the Heat-Flex GN is the neoprene-coated version built for static installations. For broader industrial high-temp use, the Heat-Flex GS is the general-service option.
