Light-Weight Silicone-Coated Fiberglass Hose for High-Temperature Air Handling

The Heat-Flex CWGS is a single-ply iron oxide red silicone-coated fiberglass fabric hose reinforced with a spring steel wire helix. It is the light-weight, flexible silicone fiberglass option in the Heat-Flex line — built for high-temperature air handling and fume ventilation where heavy-wall durability is not the priority. Resistant to many oils, solvents, ozone, water, fungus, and alkalis. Not recommended for continuous flexing.

Where the Heat-Flex CWGS Fits

This hose is well-suited for light-duty high-temperature air handling and fume ventilation — process air handling, exhaust routing, and similar applications where weight and flexibility matter more than heavy-wall durability.

Sizing & Install Best Practices

Match inside diameter to the inlet on your fan, blower, or pickup. Order extra length to allow for compression during shipping — flex hose compresses substantially in transit and decompresses to full length once installed. Allow flex room in the run rather than pulling the hose taut, and avoid sharp bends that exceed the recommended bend radius. For tight-bend or heavier-duty applications, step up to the Heat-Flex BDS with its external fiberglass cord reinforcement.
