Static Dissipative Heavy-Weight Hose for Gasoline Vapor Recovery
The Flex-Tube VR-U is a specially formulated static dissipative heavy-weight UV-resistant polyurethane hose reinforced with a UV-resistant rigid external PVC left-handed helix and an embedded copper braided grounding wire. It is engineered specifically for biofuel vapor recovery at service stations and transfer stations — resistant to gasoline, diesel, biodiesel, and ethanol vapors. Phthalate free with great ozone and abrasion resistance. Surface resistivity 108–1010 Ohms/Square. Available from 3" ID.
Where the Flex-Tube VR-U Fits
This hose is purpose-built for gasoline vapor recovery at fuel service stations, fuel transfer stations, and any application involving biofuel vapor handling where static dissipation and chemical resistance to fuel vapors are both required. The left-handed helix and rigid external construction provide drag resistance when the hose is pulled across rough surfaces during fuel delivery operations.
Sizing & Install Best Practices
Match inside diameter to your vapor recovery port or nozzle fitting. The left-handed helix is intentional — it prevents the hose from unscrewing from threaded fittings during use. The embedded copper grounding wire must maintain continuity to the grounding system for static dissipation to function. For non-fuel static dissipative applications, the FlexStat Hose covers a broader range of industrial use cases.
